About Joseph Wilner, LCP

I’m a Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist (LCP), an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP), a Certified Trauma and Resilience Practitioner (CTRP-C) and hold a graduate certificate as a youth development specialist. I’m also a certified coach practitioner through the Certified Coaches Federation (CCF).

I have training in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Integral Somatic Psychology, ARC framework, anger control training, and career assessment.

I approach therapy from a holistic, client-centered, strengths-based approach. I incorporate principles from solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, somatic therapy, and positive psychotherapy.

I am passionate about helping people grow, heal, and create a fulfilling and meaning life, and have over 10 years of experience working with adults, adolescents, and families in community mental health centers, juvenile corrections, inpatient psychiatric facilities, and private practice.

I work with adolescents, adults, and families around issues related to depression, anxiety, grief/loss, stress-management, oppositional behavior, ADHD, self-esteem, career planning, and life coaching.

I aim to meet my clients where they are on their path to mental health and well-being, and to encourage and empower them to achieve their goals and personal potential.

During our sessions, I will help you safely explore your thoughts and feelings, discover new perspectives and develop more effective and skillful coping strategies. Through this process, I will assist you in uncovering your insights, and bringing to the light the person you are meant to be.

When I’m not being a therapist, I enjoy and cherish time with my two daughters and wife, and am passionate about music.

I have played drums since I was a youth and have performed in different bands locally, though church, and even had the privilege to tour the country playing music.
